Project Background

In 2024, we engaged with the community to develop the Lady Robinsons Management Plan (LRMP), which was adopted in November 2024. This plan sets a staged approach for upgrading our foreshore to improve resilience, accessibility, and community enjoyment.

As part of our commitment to ongoing community engagement, we are now seeking your feedback on our first concept design in the plan. The Precinct Two Concept Design, covering the area from Teralba Road, Brighton-Le-Sands to Solander Street, Monterey, is now on exhibition.

Concept Design Highlights

The proposed upgrades focus on creating a safer, more sustainable, and accessible foreshore, key features include:

✅ Stronger coastal protection – A new seawall to manage erosion and storm impacts

✅ Relocation and expansion of Cook Park carpark resulting in 17 more bays

✅ A more inviting foreshore – A timber viewing platform and enhanced public spaces for relaxation and recreation

✅ A thriving natural environment – Supporting marine and coastal ecology through rock naturalisation structures and intertidal habitat protection

✅ Better coastal access – A waterfront boardwalk and groyne upgrades to improve movement along the foreshore.
