Tell us your thoughts on how we can enhance how we engage you in shaping the future of Bayside.

Background

Council's Engagement and Communications Strategy was adopted in 2019 and is now due to be reviewed. This is a requirement of the Integrated Planning and Reporting Guidelines under the Local Government Act 1993.

The purpose of the Strategy is to guide a strategic, inclusive, transparent and accountable approach to how Council engages the community in its decision-making processes and communicates key information.

Reviewing the Strategy

We are checking in to see if the current Strategy still meets your expectations and find out how we can enhance how we engage you on the matters that are important to you.

Community engagement that has already been undertaken to inform Council's Community Strategic Plan, Local Strategic Planning Statement, Community Participation Plan, Disability Inclusion Action Plan, Age-friendly Communities Strategy and Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan will also inform the review of the Strategy.

Next steps

Council will review all the feedback received and update the Strategy. The draft Strategy will then be placed on public exhibition for a final round of community consultation before being presented to Council for adoption.
