Project Background

Scarborough Park is an expansive open space of approximately 61ha and was one of the earliest parks created by the NSW Government, in 1879.

Council has drafted a masterplan to manage the future of Scarborough Park.

The plan will secure a vibrant and active space that delivers recreational opportunities, high-quality play experiences, improved park connectivity, pathways, and accessibility.

The Southern Precinct, adjacent to Tonbridge Reserve, Rotary Park and Pemberton Reserve, is to become a key entrance point for the park, due to its proximity to Ramsgate Beach Town Centre and medium residential properties.
