The Rockdale Town Centre North precinct will integrate a major mixed-use redevelopment site linking the future Civic Heart with King Street Mall, improving solar access, permeability and overall connectivity through site amalgamation and a new through-site link.

2. Active Frontages & Retail Character

Fine-grain retail, restaurants and widened footpaths will reinforce King Street Mall’s vibrant character, supporting outdoor dining and an active day-to-night streetscape enhanced by quality public domain upgrades.

3. King Lane Upgrade & Access

King Lane will be widened and redesigned to accommodate service access while functioning as an improved pedestrian corridor that strengthens connectivity within the town centre.

4. 1 Market Street Renewal Opportunity

The Council owned site at 1 Market Street presents a catalyst mixed-use redevelopment opportunity, delivering new homes, retail, commercial space and improved street activation.

5. Market Street Transformation

Market Street will evolve into a pedestrian-priority urban high street with upgraded public domain elements and potential activation along Pitt Lane through retail or a food-focused precinct.
