The Civic Heart of Rockdale will consolidate key civic buildings into a unified precinct fronting Princes Highway and connected to a new town park, strengthening identity and operational efficiency

2. Open Space & Urban Design

A new park along York Street will link civic destinations while enhancing mature trees, creating inviting pedestrian spaces and flexible areas for gatherings.

3. Community & Economic Activation

The revitalised precinct will support community connection, cultural activity and local events, contributing to social wellbeing and economic vitality.

4. Access, Parking & Future Flexibility

Parking will be consolidated to prioritise pedestrian safety and active public space, with future potential for open space, housing or reinvestment in Masterplan initiatives.

5. Environmental Function & Growth

The park will integrate stormwater management while addressing the growing need for high-quality open space to support Rockdale’s future population.
