Help shape Victory Reserve
We previously asked the community about renewing Victory Reserve. We’re now moving ahead with the new playspace and inviting feedback on a new concept.
What's happening now
We will remove the old play equipment and replace it with a modern, inclusive playspace for children aged 2–12. The new playspace will include:
- A multi-play fort with slides and climbing features
- Provide swings, including an inclusive basket swing, a small spinning carousel and a spring rocker
- Add a sensory sound panel
- Compliant rubber undersurfacing
- Picnic table and park seats
- Drinking fountain
- Install two shade sails that cover the playspace.
- Install a fence near Cross Street.
Updated Concept Design: Exploring a New Idea for a Fenced Dog Park
During our previous engagement, we heard from several community members who expressed interest in having a fully fenced dog park at Victory Reserve. This feature was not part of the original concept design, and at the City Works Committee meeting it was decided to prepare a revised concept for exhibition, you can view it here.
To make space for the new concept design some feature options shown in the earlier concept, such as the community garden, basketball half court, pathways, and the fitness station have not been included.
We want to hear from you:
We’re now seeking your feedback on this updated concept.
- Do you support the new concept?
- Is a fenced dog park a priority for you?
