Important Update
The tree planting event this Sunday at Silver Jubilee Park will change to Broadford St Reserve (opposite 88 Broadford St Bexley).
Registrations are now full. Thank you for your interest. A Council Officer will be in touch with you shortly.
Bayside Council and Mayor Dr Christina Curry invite you to plant a tree in honour of the father you would like to recognise on Sunday 3 September 2023.
‘Trees for Dad’ is not only a great way to gift Dad something special, but it’s an opportunity to learn about our local environment and help grow our urban forest by planting native trees or shrubs.
For fathers who have passed, it is a chance to remember and create a living memorial. For those blessed to have a living father, planting a tree is a lovely activity and a great experience to share with family and friends.
Who can participate?
Families or individuals who live within the Bayside Local Government Area can register to plant a tree. Council will provide one tree per father.
What do I need to bring?
- Please wear suitable clothing, shoes and a hat.
- Council will provide the tree and tools, and staff will be on hand to assist with the tree planting.
- Council will provide one tree per father to be recognised.
When and where will the trees be planted?
Trees for Dad 2023 will take place at Mutch Park, Pagewood between 10am and 12pm and at Broadford Street Reserve (opposite 88 Broadford St Bexley) between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday 3 September 2023.
