Project Background

Council is planning improvements to Sybil Lane, Brighton-Le-Sands, including the area around 45 Crawford Road, to make it safer, easier to move around.

The proposal includes:

  • More parking for residents and visitors, with a net gain of 8 spaces across the area
  • Safer, easier walking with a new Crawford Road pedestrian refuge island and
  • Upgraded pathway connecting the school and park
  • Better traffic flow and safer vehicle movement, including converting Sybil Lane to one-way due to its narrow width
  • Greener, more attractive streets with new planting and landscaping
  • A safer traffic environment, including traffic calming measures and new linemarking

Review the proposal and let us know what you think. Together, we can create a safer, more attractive, and more functional space for everyone.
