The names we give to places help tell the story of our community, reflecting our local history, culture, identity and connection to place.

As Bayside continues to grow and evolve, Council is seeking input on the naming of two significant new community assets:

  • the redeveloped Botany Aquatic Centre
  • the new community hub at the Arncliffe Village site

These projects represent important community spaces for current and future generations. Council believes place names should honour our shared history and values while also reflecting Bayside’s future aspirations.

As part of the first stage of the naming process, key stakeholders and community representatives are invited to nominate up to five potential names for each site on behalf of their organisation or group.

Before submitting your nominations, please review Council’s Place Naming Policy and complete the application form below.

We look forward to receiving your suggestions and working together to help shape the identity of these important community spaces.
