Proposal Background

The objective of this Planning Proposal is to amend the Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021 (BLEP) to permit ‘Signage’ with consent within the Zone SP2 Infrastructure Land Use Table.

Intended Outcomes

• Simplify and streamline the approval process for installing advertising on Council’s major transport corridors.

• Ensuring the advertising has low overall impact on road corridors in the Bayside local government area.

• Future development will be managed through the Development Approval (DA) process and require compliance with the relevant policies and guidelines.
