At the council meeting on 26 March 2025, the revised Mutch Park Masterplan, integrating community input, was adopted.

In response to community feedback, the final Master Plan has been revised to include an expanded off-leash dog area within the Village Green. This new area will be trialled for 12 months without fencing, after which it will be reviewed.

Next Steps: The Council will seek to negotiate a new lease agreement with Sydney Water to secure tenure in the long term for open space and specifically to seek further clarity on potential disruptions to the park arising from potential Sydney Water activities on their land.

The Master Plan will be delivered in stages, subject to approvals and available funding.

In FY 25-26,

1: Council will relocate the off-leash dog area to eliminate interference with the existing playground.

2: Mutch Park playground renewal & amenities are scheduled.
