The Botany Bay Development Control Plan 2013 (BBDCP) guides all future development within the suburbs of Banksmeadow, Botany, Daceyville, Eastgardens, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Mascot, Pagewood, and Rosebery. The BBDCP contains detailed planning and development controls that support the Botany Bay Local Environmental Plan 2013.
At its meeting on Wednesday 10 May 2017, Bayside Council resolved to prepare draft Amendment No. 8 (Housekeeping Amendment) to the BBDCP to address a number of duplications and formatting issues, to clarify definitions, to update references to external documents and to make implementation of the DCP simpler and easier.
This amendment contains 39 items and edits the following BBDCP chapters:
- Part 2 - Notification & Advertising (Attachment 1)
- Part 3A - Car Parking (Attachment 2)
- Part 3C - Access & Mobility (Attachment 3)
- Part 3E - Subdivision & Amalgamation (Attachment 4)
- Part 3J - Aircraft Noise & OLS (Attachment 5)
- Part 3L - Landscaping & Tree Management (Attachment 6)
- Part 3N - Waste Minimisation & Management (Attachment 7)
- Part 4A - Dwelling Houses (Attachment 8)
- Part 4B - Multi Dwelling Housing (Attachment 9)
- Part 4C - Residential Flat Buildings (Attachment 10)
- Part 6 - Employment Zones (Attachment 11)
- Part 7C - Child Care Centres (Attachment 12)
- Part 9A - Mascot Station Town Centre Precinct (Attachment 13)
It is noted that Bayside Council currently has 2 Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) – Botany Bay and Rockdale with 2 corresponding Development Control Plans (DCPs) – Botany Bay and Rockdale. These development controls will be replaced in the longer term by a Bayside specific LEP and DCP. The recommended amendments will assist with the harmonising of the existing development controls.
Submissions regarding the proposed changes can be made until 4.30pm on Friday 30 June 2017 and should be addressed to the General Manager, Bayside Council and can be provided:
