Latest Update
Pursuant to State Environmental Planning Policy Amendment (Land Use Zones)(No. 3) 2022, translated employment zones commenced on 26 April 2023.
The Department of Planning and Environment are replacing existing Business and Industrial zones in local environmental plans to introduce new employment zones.
Background
In December 2021, the Department introduced new employment zones within the Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Order 2006.
The Department are now implementing the employment zones with proposed amendments to individual local environmental plans (LEPs) across NSW.
This change proposes to translate Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021, to introduce these new zones in place of the existing Business and Industrial zones contained in the LEP. This translation has been prepared by the Department, and takes into account feedback from Bayside Council, including a formal submission provided by Council on 29 March 2022, click here to read the submission
