Project Background

Council is updating our Risk Management Policy to make sure it aligns with current regulations and stays part of our Organisational Resilience Framework (ORF) – previously known as the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

This policy explains how Bayside Council manages risk and shares important information with our community. We've reviewed the draft policy to make it clearer, more consistent, and easier to read.

The changes include:

• Areas of focus that identify specific risk areas such as fraud and cyber.
• A statement expressing Management's commitment to the RMP.
• An explanation of the importance of risk management
• Risk management goals and objectives.
• Defined policy statements to ensure Council staff understand their responsibilities.
• Identifying project risk considerations.
