Bayside Council is proposing to enter into a Planning Agreement with the landowner and developer, Iglu No. 211 Pty Ltd, in relation to Development Application DA2019/385 at 13B Church Avenue and 6-8 John Street, Mascot.

What is a Planning Agreement?

A Planning Agreement is a legal agreement entered into by a planning authority (such as Bayside Council) and a developer. Under the Planning Agreement, a developer agrees to provide contributions that link to improvements in local community services and facilities.

The benefit of the proposed Planning Agreement

The public benefit outcome from the draft Planning Agreement is a $5.8 million monetary contribution to Council to use towards open space and/or recreation in the Mascot Station Precinct or another public purpose if Council considers that the public interest would be better served.
