Bayside Council is proposing to enter into a Planning Agreement with the landowner and developer, Monterey Equity Pty Ltd, in relation to Development Application 2021/95 at 119 Barton Street, Monterey.


What is a Planning Agreement?

A Planning Agreement is a legal agreement entered into by a planning authority (such as Bayside Council) and a developer. Under the Planning Agreement, a developer agrees to contribute to improvements in local community services and facilities.


The benefit of the proposed Planning Agreement

The public benefit outcome from the draft Planning Agreement is a $527,000 monetary contribution to Council for public purposes relating to the upgrading and/ or embellishment of open space, recreation and/ or public infrastructure in Monterey or another public purpose if Council considers that the public interest would be better served.
