Review of the Community Venues Annual Allocation Policy and Procedures

We are reviewing our Community Venues Annual Allocation Policy and Procedures to improve the fairness, transparency and consistency of how Council's community venues are allocated.

The draft Community Venues Annual Allocation Policy sets out the framework for the annual allocation of Council-managed community venues. The accompanying Procedures explain how the policy will be applied in practice. Together, they aim to ensure community venues remain accessible and available to a diverse range of community groups and organisations seeking ongoing or regular hire arrangements.

• Clear assessment criteria for venue hire applications.
• An Expression of Interest (EOI) process for a two-year venue hire period.
• Introduction of annual reporting requirements for hirers receiving financial assistance from Council.
