Council is re-exhibiting a planning proposal to amend the Rockdale Local Environmental Plan (RLEP) 2011 that applies to land at 33-35 Cook Street, Turrella. Information on the reasons for the re-exhibition of the Planning Proposal is detailed below.

Why is the Planning Proposal being re-exhibited?

The Planning Proposal exhibited between Thursday 5 November and Friday 4 December 2015 identified a cascading height limit of 15m for the eastern portion of the site and 12m for the western portion of the site. This was incorrect and did not accurately reflect the Planning Proposal on which Council based its support to proceed to the Department of Planning and Environment (DP&E) for Gateway Determination.

What is the correct height limit for the site?

The correct height limit for the site is 14.5m. As a result, Council is re-exhibiting the Planning Proposal to provide the community with an opportunity to comment on the correct information.

Are there any other changes?

No. The previously proposed rezoning to R4 High Density Residential and floor space ratio of 1.25:1 has not been amended.
