Council Resolution 24 July 2024
Adopted Muddy Creek Masterplan
The endorsed plan provides a blueprint for future upgrades to the foreshore and reserve, including opening up the waterfront area for the enjoyment of the community. The plan provides space for Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW, Men’s Shed and the community garden. This financial year, Council will commence the detail design process to improve the car park and to open up the fenced and gravel areas as landscaped open space along the waterfront that the whole community can enjoy. The existing boat ramp is also planned to be upgraded into a non-motorised launching facility suitable for kayak and canoes.
Once again, thank you for your involvement and submission on the Masterplan.
Updates
We are creating a Masterplan for the Muddy Creek Precinct (also known as Studdert Reserve).
The Muddy Creek Precinct has a rich landscape and is an important open space for the community. The draft Masterplan proposes future activation of the waterfront with high-quality community buildings, extensive use of open space for passive recreation and dedicated walking and cycling connections.
Background
In 2019 we started work on the draft Masterplan for the Muddy Creek Precinct. To help us draft the Masterplan, we asked the community about your relationship with the area, your thoughts on our Vision Statement and how you would like to use Muddy Creek in the future. Your feedback combined with site analysis and technical specifications informed the current draft Masterplan which is now on exhibition. You can read more about the previous engagement here
