Consultation has concluded. Thank you for all your feedback.

We know it's cool to live in Bayside, but we want to make it even cooler!

We're planting 700 native trees in areas we have identified having a very low tree canopy.

This project is part of the NSW Government's 5 million tree project initiative. We have delivered this project in two stages. You may recall our previous engagement Greening Bayside.

We are now at Stage 2 - Cooling Bayside.

This initiative will create greener, cooler and more livable suburbs to improve health, climate, economy and environment.

What's Happening Now?

Our environmental team have identified areas of low tree canopy and determined the most suitable tree planting locations.

We want to see where you would like to see trees planted within the carefully selected residential streets with low tree canopy that are commonly used for walking and cycling to help us guide and develop the Final Concept Plan.

Have Your Say

We want to hear from you - use our interactive map where you'd like to see more trees planted in the carefully selected low tree canopy suburbs in Bayside LGA.

We want to hear from you! Tell us what you think by:

  • Dropping a pin on our interactive tree map
  • Submitting a question or comment to our Project Manager
  • For a free interpreter call us via TIS National on 131 450
