This project has been reopened for 2 weeks due to popular demand!

We are creating a Bike Plan for Bayside, and we need your feedback on where you love to ride, and how we can make Bayside a great place for cyclists.

Background

Bayside Council is planning for a healthy, safe and sustainable future. As part of our new Transport Strategy we are developing a Bayside Bike Plan. The Bike Plan will set our active transport goals for the next 10 years. It will focus on:

  • Encouraging people to choose walking and riding as part of regular local transport
  • Establishing a clear Bayside cycling network, with links to neighbouring areas
  • Making our roads safer and more enjoyable to ride on
  • Working with our community to promote cycling within schools and local businesses
  • Increasing community safety through education and awareness

We are also working with the state government to advocate for the delivery of a safe separated path network in parallel to major transport infrastructure projects such as The F6 Stage 1 extension, Sydney Gateway, and Port Freight Line Duplication.

What's Happening Now?

We are gathering community feedback from anybody who rides, or wants to ride, in and around Bayside. T

Complete our survey or drop a pin on our map to share your ideas!

Welcome to our Bayside Cycleways map!

Please drag and drop a pin onto our map to help us plan for the future. Our existing bike routes are shown on the map, but you can give feedback about any location you ride your bike.

The are three types of pins you can use:

  • Issue - let us know if there is an unsafe section of road, or where we could provide measures such as a shoulder lane, on-road bicycle markings, or a share path

  • Favourite destination - tell us where you love to ride to, or would really like to ride to in the future (remember to name the place in your comments)

You can place as many pins as you like, but make sure you hit 'submit' to save them!

Thank you,
