Bayside Council has received an application from four residents of Alexandra Parade to establish a community verge garden on the east side of Alexandra Parade, approximately opposite numbers 2 and 3 Alexandra Parade. Please refer to the map above for the location and elements of the proposed community garden.

The Alexandra Parade Community Garden Group proposes to ‘…Improve the streetscape and grow vegetables and other plants to share… improve the amenity of verge for residents and visitors’. The proposed community garden will initially include four raised garden beds for the current garden members, common areas of native plantings and two compost bins for organic waste from the garden. The community garden will be open for all to visit and garden membership will be open to all local residents subject to the capacity of the garden.
